I read with interest (at first) and then complete amusement a column penned by Dorlan Francis, which appeared to have been addressing the issue of the Jamaica Labour Party's (JLP) proposal to remove auxiliary fees from secondary schools should they be returned as Government at the looming general election. Without question, this was just another of the JLP's unfulfillable election promises designed to grab the attention of an electorate that is not particularly au fait with the realities required in order to deliver on such promises.
